“Automation of Dim Sum Production”

Problem

A customer in Hong Kong had been facing labour and product quality issues over years. Hundreds of workers wrap dim sum manually by hand, and so product quality was inconsistent for each operator. In addition, labour cost had started to increase year by year. At that time, they had nobody to consult with to overcome the issues.

 

Suggestion

We did not have a particular machine to fit their need, but re-designed the machine to meet with their standard. In addition, we re-adjusted their recipe to fit for the new automation system to increase the productivity.

 

Result

The 1st unit started helping their production, and they eventually managed to save labour cost and to control product quality with high yield rate. With the automation system, they also increased the product ranges and which eventually help them to expand the market.

“Launch New product” -differentiation against market rivals-

Problem

A company in China is one of the most well-known Surimi making factory in Asia, but in order to break through saturated market, they inquired us how to automate production for their new product.

 

Suggestion

To differentiate against their market rivals, we modified the machine with special attachments to make better appearance and to maintain high quality and productivity. In addition, by adding extra inner filling, we managed to offer extra values to the new product.

 

Result

The new product became one of their signature products that has now been leading the market. Our re-designed equipment helps them to maintain the consistent quality with high productivity, which helps them to build their success and trust in the market today.

“Re-design of Automation system to overcome cost & quality issues”

Problem

A confectionary production line in Hong Kong was originally designed with a local company, but they faced difficulty to increase their productivity. The existing issues were, 1) still rely on lots of manual works, 2) inconsistent quality caused by the manual works, and 3) unable to maintain high yield rate.

 

Suggestion

We ran through the production layout to point out “what can be improved” and “what is unnecessary” to increase the productivity. In order to operate the production efficiently, the core part of the productions was replaced with high-quality Japanese made equipment, which helps them to reduce the manual labour and to maintain the consistent quality.

 

Result

By re-writing the layout, the production process has now been improved, and has become simple to operate, and which leads the product quality to be consistent. In addition, their workers are now satisfied with the newly designed production system without having stress and difficulty.

“Automation of Soup & Sauce Production”

Problem

A company in Singapore faced the problem controlling heat power causing over-cooked and burnt products. It is difficult to avoid such issued with human control, and it caused more ingredients and labour cost.

 

Suggestion

We suggested the customer our equipment and designed automation system that can control heat power and product weight without product getting burnt. Each program is operated with customer’s recipe, so less human work is involved in the operation.

 

Result

The customer now successfully manages to save labour cost, and to increase productivity with high quality and yield rate.
